Forming in the Autumn of 2008 to create a Party that has exceeded both of their expectations, Brenden Fing and Matt Nukewood sensed the winds of change and realised that something needed to be done about the state of house music – it needed to be heard by the masses. This was the commandment that got lost.
With Brenden holding down a residency at Sydney’s newest breath of fresh air – Nevermind, and Matt being a resident at Together, at The Arthouse – and both being residents at Sounds on Sunday, plus supporting an endless list of internationals including Deadmau5, Basement Jaxx, The Chemical Brothers, Kaskade and Sven Vath – it was obvious that they had plenty to offer as a duo, on top of their individual finesse.
This knowledge and genuine love for house music paid off for the pair, securing The Ping Pong DJs residencies at Sydney’s most coveted night spots - Sounds on Sunday, Club VIP Fridays, Nevermind, YU Saturdays, Wham, and festivals such as Future Music Festival.
People were standing up to take notice: House music is coming back into the fray.
